Dear Numbers,

As spring continues to bloom, I am writing to summarize the progress we had made in the last month. This month, we are deepening our global engagements and solidifying our leadership in digital provenance. Our team is actively traveling and collaborating to strengthen our network and foster new partnerships.

Leading the Charge in Provenance

This month, Numbers Protocol has reinforced its position as a leader in digital provenance. Our team has been actively engaging in business development activities in major cities like San Francisco, New York, Zurich, and London. These efforts aim to expand our business opportunities and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders in these regions.

The participation in workshops, conferences, and panel discussions has highlighted our innovative contributions to the field.

Vera's presentations at the Cryptography, Security, and AI mini-workshop, co-hosted by Protocol Lab, showcased how blockchain and AI intersect and how we could make AI more ethical and secure. We have developed comprehensive and deeper conversations with the news media industry and seen excitement from partners about how our solutions can help rebuild and enhance trust in news media amidst the challenges brought by generative AI.

Another notable highlight was Bofuโ€™s presentation at the International Press Telecommunications Council (IPTC). He discussed the intricacies of image provenance and authenticity, emphasizing how ERC-7053 addresses the limitations of current provenance standards and contributes to a more ethical future for AI. He introduced verification pipelines for content with and without C2PA, demonstrating how blockchain technology and the ERC-7053 standard ensure the traceability and verifiability of digital media content. This approach supports the creation of reliable AI models and aligns with broader trends towards transparency and security in data handling. If you have not yet see their presentations, I would like to encourage you definitely take a look! Our efforts to explore new partnerships are also yielding promising results. We are also excited to announce our recent partnership with Taiwan Fact Checking. This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to combating misinformation and ensuring the integrity of digital content.

Ethical AI: Our Commitment to Responsible AI Development

At the same time, we are dedicated to our commitment to promoting ethical AI. The Capture Wallet which you are all very familiar with, actually plays a crucial role in building AI with user-owned and user-controlled datasets. This setup allows AI models to access user content securely, with explicit permission and consent, ensuring ethical AI practices. By complying ERC-7517, we safeguard creators' rights and ensure that AI training is conducted responsibly. This initiative aligns with OpenAI's recent Data Partnerships, emphasizing the importance of high-quality, diverse datasets for sophisticated AI models. If you are interested in learning more, here are the step-by-step instructions on how you could build an ethical Gen AI tool: Enhance AI with Your Content: A Step-by-Step Guide. It is a little bit technical, but you can definitely see the innovative technologies behind Capture.

Last but not least, I would like to share that Tiktok have also announced their participation in C2PA earlier this month. With Meta, Google, and now TikTok joining this initiative, a new era of the internet is beginning. As the General Partner of C2PA, Numbers will keep our promise to build a more authentic and transparent digital world!

Same as every weekend, the team will take some rest with a slower response. Our dear moderators will keep supporting you, and the team will be well-prepared for the new week.

Cheers & Have a nice weekend,

Tammy
