Dear NUMBERS,
Spring is here, and it means everything is in transition! The first quarter of the year brought some challenges for me. I first caught COVID, then the flu came after, which meant a lot of days with high fever (and still today). My biggest appreciation goes to the team and community for supporting me during these challenging days. This proves that Numbers Protocol is a decentralised network built by all of us instead of just a few people. I hope everyone is staying healthy and happy so that we can work together to make a brighter future towards our vision for a better internet with content provenance ensured. This month, we're excited to announce the launch of a significant project: archiving the 318 Sunflower Protest event from 10 years ago in Taiwan. In addition to this project, we also help fight disinformation in Indiaβs General Election, which was covered in Asian News International and other notable news media. We believe the involvement of the Numbers Protocol could positively impact the democratic process in India. We also invite our communities in India to contribute to the project by joining this campaign! Be a part of history-making while also earning some rewards! Did you notice the updates on both the Numbers and Capture websites? On the Capture Website, we have a lot of updates to help users understand the use cases and our products more clearly. On the Numbers Website, we have added a new βNumbers Archiveβ session. These archives are not only essential for us to remember historical events but will also become potential resources for the future of AI, helping it learn and understand the world around us. Let us know what event or collection you would like it to be archived on the Numbers network?
The past month has also been busy with exciting potential collaborations. We've met with many interesting people from various industries, including gaming, metaverse, AI no-code platforms, and news media. We will explore together how Numbers Protocol can work with these groups to create a better online experience. My favourite is the groundbreaking partnership with SuperWorld. They're building an immersive augmented reality (AR) world that overlays the real world. This partnership perfectly aligns with our goal of bringing trust and authenticity to virtual environments. Imagine buying something cool in a game or the metaverse. Wouldn't it be great to know it's genuine and can't be easily copied? That's where the Numbers Protocol comes in. We're building the tools to ensure things in virtual worlds are real and can be traced back to their origin.
We have recently announced our next DAO meeting agenda following the community review concluded last week. Once again, we greatly appreciate your eagerness to share your insights with us. See you soon in the DAO meeting! Last but not least, I would like to share a new product feature with you. A single click on our platform now imbues digital assets with the trusted C2PA seal, aligning us with major industry players and ensuring our place as a trusted partner within the C2PA verification network.
This enhancement signifies our commitment to fostering a landscape of trusted and verifiable digital content. If you are interested in learning more, check our this article: π Decentralized and Immutable: Why Do We Need Decentralized Records Besides C2PA?
Same as every weekend, the team will take some rest with a slower response. Our dear moderators will keep supporting you, and the team will be well-prepared for the new week.
Cheers & Have a nice weekend, Tammy
