Dear NUMBERS,
Happy 2024! it's Tammy here to write the last letter of January and my first of the new year. I'm glad to share our latest progress and the transformative changes we're witnessing together.
Before I share more project progress, I want to talk about the critical role of provenance in our digital world, a world we all deeply rely on. In an age where misinformation spreads rapidly, the ability to verify the origin and history of digital content is essential. Provenance is the foundation of trust online, ensuring that the content we consume and share is authentic and reliable. As the first and most mature Web3 provenance protocol, Numbers Protocol is dedicated to embedding this layer of trust into every digital content, making the digital world more transparent and trustworthy.
I'm emphasizing our vision again because this vision is now becoming the future that everyone else is also envisioning. Our impact extends beyond news media to AI, art, creativity, and even the energy industries. 2024 is crucial for Numbers to become the go-to provenance tool for companies and individuals. So, I have a favor to ask: if you haven't yet, try Capture Cam or Capture Dashboard. Experience the journey from Capture to Verify with a blockchain certificate. When you meet someone needing digital content certification tools, please introduce them to Capture, the best provenance infrastructure and the go-to content verification tools for everyone. Our recent Taiwan election project highlights our impact. Working with seven photojournalists in collaboration with top-tier global media, including Bloomberg and The New York Times, we ensured the integrity of the election coverage. This project, spotlighted by Politico, UK Journalism, Global Investigative Journalism Network and International Federation of Journalist, demonstrates Numbers Protocol's crucial role in the media landscape. While others discuss the "problem" of misinformation in elections, we offer the "solution" – authenticating digital content and enhancing transparency.
Echoing the promise to make Numbers Protocol the provenance infrastructure to everyone, we've added a new feature to the Capture Dashboard this week. Now, users can easily obtain the C2PA content credential for their images with just one click. We are proud to say that Numbers is key in making provenance technology decentralized and accessible to all.
Another important thing happening this week is our 6th DAO meeting to discuss should Numbers redirect unsuccessful DAO proposal stakes to the treasury. The meeting is still ongoing, and we will have results during the weekend.
In the last part of this letter, I would like to tease a major collaboration that we'll soon announce. While details are still under wraps, I can assure you that this partnership will significantly expand the reach and influence of Numbers Protocol!
Same as every weekend, the team will take some rest with a slower response. Our dear moderators will keep supporting you, and the team will be well-prepared for the new week.
Cheers & Have a nice weekend, Tammy
